Projects in health, education and retail sectors
Costain has a successful track record in the health sector by delivering projects across a section of public and private health procurement routes, the most high profile of which is the ProCure21 initiative.
Projects stretch to the provision of education facilities to outcomes for young people through inspirational design (the Kent Grouped Schools PFI, Bradford BSF Pathfinder and activities of Learning21), delivering City Academy projects as represented by Stockley and Madjedski Academies as well as providing innovative solutions to the retail environment, a key part being the 36-year Costain/Tesco partnership.
Costain's Oil, Gas & Process division provides engineering services for Front End and Engineering Design (FEED) and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC). Current collaborations include British Nuclear Group, the UK Atomic Energy Association (UKAEA) and AWE. The company holds a 50% interest in the Spanish property development business, Alcaidesa Holding SA.
