Geoscience jobs

Geoscientists are involved in the initial stage of Oil and Gas exploration and production, an essential part of the energy industry. The acquisition, interpretation and analysis of data such as seismic information is translated and used in the never-ending search for energy sources.

Petroleum Engineers, Reservoir Engineers, Petrophysicists, Geophysicists and Geologists are just some of the specialists to work in Geoscience jobs and many work side-by-side on G+G teams.

There are many geoscience jobs in both office-based roles and in the field with companies ranging in size from the Supermajors such as Exxonmobil down to independent start-ups. As the need for resources increases and their availability diminishes, used fields are being targeted which highlights the need for technological advances within the Oil & Gas industry. Just a part of this technology is the software used such as Petrel, Kingdom and Landmark.

International dimension of geoscience jobs
