Located in the South East of England, the Home County of Buckinghamshire is fast becoming one of the most popular and vibrant places to live.

The beautiful Chiltern Hills and the Vale of Aylesbury provide stunning rural backdrops and perfect retreats from the stresses of modern life.

With its agricultural roots, the area benefits from a thriving economy and is often listed as one of the richest sub-regions within Europe. The southern part of the county is especially prosperous as it serves as part of the London commuter belt. Educational and qualification levels are generally high, and unemployment is below the national average at 3.5%.

A county steeped in history, there are many attractions to enjoy in Buckinghamshire. Historic landmarks include the magnificent Rothschild House of Waddesdon Manor and Hughenden Manor, home of former British Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli.

The region also has the advantage of excellent road and transport links, with easy access to London and the Midlands via the M40, M25 or M4. There is a regular rail service to London Marylebone with travel time only a little over 30 minutes from High Wycombe.

Today Buckinghamshire is an ethnically diverse area, particularly in the larger towns such as Aylesbury and High Wycombe. Aylesbury has a sizable European community and High Wycombe is the most ethnically diverse town in the county, with large Asian and Afro-Caribbean populations.
