Many thanks for taking the time to visit the Health Protection Agency’s recruitment campaign site.

The HPA’s role is to Protect people, Prevent harm and to Prepare for Threats.  In order for us to meet this challenge, it is critical that we are run efficiently and our resources are utilised effectively.

In addition to its ongoing research and vaccine development, the last 18 months have seen the HPA respond to the summer floods of 2007, running multi-agency simulation exercises to prepare emergency services responses to disease outbreaks or terrorist attacks, and working with international partners to prepare for the 2012 Olympic Games.

To deliver a world-beating public health protection service, we need to continue to harness all of our skills and resources, and to do this we need a number of experienced and committed individuals to join our team.
