Welcome to this introduction to Talbot Underwriting. We are a company of talented people, many of whom are also investors in our ultimate parent company, Validus Holdings Ltd. We aim to provide our intermediaries and insureds with a consistently high level of service and expertise.

Talbot Underwriting has a clear business focus, which is to set and maintain high standards in specialist sectors of the Lloyd's market. We aim to out-perform the market and to make an attractive return on capital over the underwriting cycle for our investors.

To perform at the highest level is a challenge and one we are happy to take on. Our approach is to take a balanced view and to avoid taking unnecessary risks. However, we are not afraid to question and are prepared to be innovative in creating new products that suit the dynamics of today's ever changing insurance market.

We do not intend to be the biggest but we have every intention of striving to be one of the best in the market.
