The Newcastle team of Hays Taxation raised a further £900 for Marie Curie at the Chartered Institute of Taxation’s annual dinner.
The event held on the 6 March was hosted by the Chartered Institute of Taxation and attendees included Tax Partners and Senior Mangers across the North East, including firms such as KPMG, E&Y, Deloitte, Northumbrian Water and Dickinson Dee’s.
The Hays Taxation team had a wealth of prizes to offer; a signed Newcastle Football shirt, Alnwick garden membership, beauty vouchers, a new television and a golf and lunch day to name but a few.
Bryony Gibson, Senior Manger at Hays Taxation, commended the evening’s success: ‘Hays has supported the Chartered Institute of Taxation annual dinner for a number of years and was delighted to have raised so much money for the Marie Curie Charity whilst being associated with the Institute’.
David Bradshaw, Chairman of the Newcastle and District Branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation expressed his appreciation of the support from Hays: ‘the raffle was a huge success and helped add the necessary final touches to the evening, in order to make it a great event. We are very grateful to the Hays Taxation team for their continued support of our dinner’.
In the UK Marie Curie raise money for terminally ill cancer patients. Hays has partnered with Marie Curie since Aug 2006. Research has shown that 75% of people who are seriously ill with cancer would like to be cared for at home. Marie Curie Nurses make that wish possible for thousands of cancer patients in cities, towns and villages across the UK every single year.
